01Overview

Agent source-checked

This scoped account documents selected type-based observations and collection provenance. The literature review remains incomplete, and differing morphological observations are attributed to their sources. [ramirez-cruz-2013-types]

This is a scientific reference record, not field-identification guidance.

Microscopic characters

Agent source-checked

The holotype revision reports spores 8.0–8.8 × 5.6–7.2 × 4.2–5.6 µm, subhexagonal to subrhomboid in frontal view and ellipsoid in lateral view, and a subgelatinized cutis. The revisers note smaller spores than the measurements they attribute to the original description, 8.0–9.5(11.0) × 6.5–7.0(8.0) × 5.5–6.0(6.5) µm. The original paper has not been inspected here; these ranges are kept as source-specific observations and are not pooled. [ramirez-cruz-2013-types]

04Distribution and ecology

Agent source-checked

The revision lists K. A. Thomas T-320a (XAL, holotype), collected on 21 July 1999 at Muthanga, Wayanad District, Kerala State, India. This is the provenance of the examined material, not a range boundary or an endemicity claim. [ramirez-cruz-2013-types]

Modern analytical studies have not yet been systematically searched and checked for this account.

Evidence assessment

Not yet researched

Chemical literature has not yet been reviewed for this account. No assay values are extracted; this does not establish compound presence or absence.

Assessments depend on material, preparation, storage, sampling and analytical methods. Measurements are literature records, not predictions of effects.
